After a short while debugging and restarting IE6 on Ubuntu, Internet Explorer gave me the option to upgrade to IE7. I know that you have to have a genuine copy of Windows, however I gave it a try, because Linux might just be better than a genuine copy of windows ;). The results was rather surprising……

New Ubuntu Linux Laptop (System 76 darter ultra has been replaced)

Everyone remember that spiffy white 13.3 inch screen ultra portable laptop offered by system 76. Well they didn’t change the name, they are still calling it the darter ultra, but now its sporting a built in webcam, a smaller 12.1 inch screen, and much better internal specs, (the improvements?: socket P, 10/100/1000, and bigger sata hard drives)

Debian Gets New Leader As Etch Emerges

The Debian GNU/Linux Project has a new leader. Sam Hocevar, a French developer, who has been with the project since 2000, was elected as leader for 2007-08 on Sunday. In his election platform, Hocevar, 28, had cited among his objectives, if he won, the goal of again making it fun to work on Debian.
